First Day of School 2020-2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to our 2020-2021 academic school year at Kenilworth Science and Technology!

We are excited to begin our school year with you and your student on Monday, August 10, 2020, promptly at 8 AM. We recognize that this school year will bring a new set of challenges however we are here to help you and your student every step of the way! To ensure that you and your student are best prepared for learning beginning on Monday, please read the following information below. 
 

Student Schedule

The schedule for your child can be found on the Kenilworth Success Portal under the 'Schedule' tab. On your students' schedule, they will be provided the time, subject, teacher's name, and the Zoom link to attend their live virtual class. When entering Zoom classes, it is important that your student uses their full name (Screen Name) for attendance purposes. Attending live virtual classes are mandatory and attendance will be taken by your students' teachers. 
 

Attending Live Virtual Classes

If your student is newly enrolled with Kenilworth you should have received their Kenilworth email and password to the email address provided during registration. If your student is a returning student, their Kenilworth email address and password are still the same from the previous school year. To attend live virtual classes, your student will need to have the following:

• A reliable device with the ZOOM app installed
• Internet access
• Kenilworth Success Portal username and password

Ancillary Classes

To guarantee that your student is enrolled in an ancillary class of their choice, please remind your student that they must complete the Ancillary class selection survey by Wednesday, August 12, 2020. This survey can be found on the Kenilworth Success Portal under the 'Ancillary Survey' tab.
 

Food Services

Parents of Kenilworth students will be able to pick up 5-day meal kits on Tuesdays starting on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the following locations:
 

• Kenilworth Science and Technology School → 7600 Boone Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70808
• Baton Rouge UP Elementary School → 7802 Howell Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70807

On Monday morning, if you are having any technical issues, please call (225) 436 - 3459 or (225) 766 - 8111 and a Kenilworth staff member will assist you.
