Absolutely not. Kenilworth is a tuition-free, public charter school. We believe every student deserves the opportunity to attend a high-quality public school that fits their individual needs regardless of income.
All children residing in Louisiana who meet registration requirements are eligible to attend. Kenilworth is an open-enrollment public school. We do NOT discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age, ancestry, athletic performance, special need, proficiency in the English language or in a foreign language, or academic achievement in admitting students.
Kenilworth provides FREE transportation to all families residing in East Baton Rouge Parish. If you are residing outside of parish limits, we do our best to arrange a convenient pick-up point for your child. If they choose to do so, families are still able to drop students off at school.
Kenilworth is a public charter school and teaches all core subjects (English & Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies) just like any other public school. Kenilworth students will engage with high-quality, culturally relevant curricular materials for core content classes, all of which are rated Tier 1 by the Louisiana Department of Education.
Kenilworth participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that provides free, nutritious school meals to all students through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. All enrolled students are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to families each day.
