Parents and Students,

Now that we have completed our final orientation session for parents and students, we would like to provide additional information to all parents. This document contains information discussed during our orientation sessions, as well as additional information necessary for the coming school year. It will be very important for you to read through all information provided to ensure that you are ready for the coming school year. The 2020-2021 school year will officially start (fully virtual) on Monday, August 10th, 2020.

For all new parents, please turn in registration documents to the front office. The front office hours are from 7AM - 4PM starting Monday, July 27th.

Food Service Update: Parents of Kenilworth students will be able to pickup 5-day meal kits on Tuesdays starting August 11, 2020 from 4 pm to 6 pm at one of the following sites:
  • Kenilworth Science and Technology School - 7600 Boone Ave , Baton Rouge, LA 70808
  • BRUP Elementary School - 7802 Howell Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70807

2- Book your mandatory onboarding call with your grade level teachers by August 1st

Make sure you have access to the Zoom platform and that your KST student is joining on this call. We strongly encourage parents to attend an onboarding call for each student, if you have multiple students in different grades attending Kenilworth. Both student and parent must be in attendance.

If you missed onboarding sessions, you can find the presentations in the Success Portal.

All students and parents should attend one of the onboarding sessions. There will be an additional special session for parents of English as Second Language (ESL) students on Monday, August 10th at 6 PM. The link will be shared later. Spanish speaking parents are welcome to attend.

3- Please make sure you have completed the following checklist before your onboarding call


Make sure we have your correct email address in our system. If you have received a letter from Kenilworth in your email you are set! You can add as many household emails as you want to our communication list - Simply send an email to with the subject title ‘Parent Contact’. Make sure we have your correct phone number and mailing address. If you have changed your phone number or address over the summer, please contact our office at (225) 766 - 8111 to start the change process.

Login to the Success Portal

You should know your account information and be able to log in to the Kenilworth Success Portal. If you do not, please send an email to for assistance with the subject title ‘Success Portal Info’.


Your child will need a personal device with the Zoom App installed to be able to do schooling properly. If you do not have one, you can check out a Chromebook from Kenilworth on weekdays, from 8 AM to 4 PM.
